Update on NLS 2021
Welcome to the home of the New Librarians Symposium*!
The NLS is Canada's only conference dedicated to early career professionals working in the library and information science field. Attendees have come from all over Canada and the United States.
Programming at the NLS typically consists of presentations from new professionals, discussions with experienced colleagues in the field, opportunities for networking, and workshops on selected topics of interest.
The NLS has been free every year since its creation in 2016 and will continue to be so this year.
This year we will also be hosting the event virtually. We hope that this will encourage folks who were unable to attend our previous in-person events in Toronto to consider pitching a topic for discussion that aligns with this year's theme: Labour and Libraries: Organizing for Action.
For more information on how to submit a proposal, check out our Calls for Participation. If you still have questions that aren't covered by our FAQ Page, feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
*Although librarian is in our name, it's used here as a catch-all for librarians, knowledge managers, archivists, researchers, technologists, and everyone in between who performs traditional and non-traditional LIS work.
